We are very pleased to be able to announce that, in May 2026, Pecky Necky Films won a national film award for our Pill and District Food Hub film. The film was entered into the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2026, in the ‘Under £100 000’ category, with us winning the Bronze Award. Regarding the film, the judge’s feedback said:

‘This film effectively combined real-life examples with clear explanations of the organisation and its goals. It was both inspiring and engaging, leaving a strong sense of optimism about the impact the organisation is making and the direction it is heading. The storytelling felt authentic and uplifting, making it easy to connect with the mission and vision presented throughout the film.’

Following the awards, Pill and District Food Hub commented:

‘Having our Pill and District Food Hub film in the finals of the Smiley Charity Film Awards has 2026 has been an exciting journey. It has provided us with a fantastic opportunity to further promote the invaluable work that we do within our community and beyond.
