about us

Over the last ten years, we have worked with a wide range of charities and organisations across the United Kingdom and Europe, to create video content for their funded projects. We have developed a reputation for taking a personal and low-key approach to film making, allowing people to feel at ease and to tell the stories that your projects are looking to showcase.

We can work with your organisation during any stage of project, helping you to identify the different types of films that can be developed to suit your available budget. Additionally, we can also work with you during your initial funding application, offering filming advice and costings for inclusion into your application. By factoring film creation into the impact and / or comms. budget lines of your initial application, you can be confident that you will have a guaranteed budget for film creation once your application is approved and the project is underway.

We are able to offer a number of different types of films to tell the story of your project how you want it telling. You can find out more about some of the types of films available below.

  • Introductory films introduce your project and explains its need. They are a good way of reaching out to stakeholders, to generate interest and potentially recruit participants for the project.

  • Ongoing shorts are ideal for social media. They provide a snapshot of the project as it develops and are another great way of promoting the project and engaging stakeholders.

These are usually no longer than half a minute to a minute in length and can be filmed in the traditional landscape format, or portrait for viewing on social media sites like Instagram or Tik Tok. These can often be created with content filmed by project participants.

  • Journey films follow individuals and groups as they progress through the project. These films use the ‘personal meaning mapping’ technique to record where an individual is pre, during and post project and to see how the work has individually impacted them. These films are a powerful and accessible way of presenting qualitative data.

  • Celebratory films are often created at the end of the project and celebrate the work that has been done. Celebratory films are a great way of demonstrating to funders and others how the funding has been spent and the impact that the project has had on stakeholders.

We’re often asked - ‘Who is Pecky Necky?’ In 2008, we started keeping chickens. When we moved into our current home, we expanded our flock with some new birds, one of which was a rather unusual breed called a Transylvanian Naked Neck. With no feathers on their necks, people often think they look like a cross between a turkey and a chicken, hence why they are often colloquially knows as Turkens! Our very own Transylvanian Naked Neck became known as Pecky Necky and quickly became an integral part of the family with her affectionate and quirky little personality. Pecky Necky Films was named after her.
